Cyber Crime & Investigation
Investigators are currently also employed for doing small-scale cyber crime investigations. Because of societal digitalisation, these kinds of investigations will increase in the future. The investigations by investigators will have an increasingly large cyber component. Additionally, digital knowledge can also have added value in investigations where there's no case of cyber crime. Basic knowledge of how the internet works, what the possibilities and impossibilities are and knowledge of the legal framework regarding cyber crime increases the chances of success for a cyber crime investigation. Naturally, these subjects will be addressed during this training. Additionally, the trainees learn the basic skills of internet investigation.

This training is suitable for investigators charged with carrying out small-scale cyber crime investigations.
What will you learn during the training?
At the end of this training, the praticipants aware of the trends, developments, opportunities and threats surrounding cyber crime and digitalisation. They are also capable of documenting cyber crime reports. Furthermore, they will have learned to use social media, search engines and anonymisation techniques to carry out and report Internet investigations. They can also interpret a mail header and protect themselves against cyber crime.
The training can be provided in English; both in class and online (in consultation). Furthermore, the training courses are modular, making it possible to compose a customized training with matching casuistry.
